  1. Thank you for posting that, he has done a great job in using the plants to provide a green and red color visual! I have not found a way to include pictures so I will link a few more to show details. To grow coralline in a small reef, one way that works is to use product C-Balance to get calcium and alkalinity correct: Sunday do a water change or skip this day and do nothing to the reef. Monday morning add 1/4 capfull of yellow bottle tuesday 1/4th of the blue skip wednesday or do a light water change depending on how old the reef is thursday 1/4th yellow friday 1/4th blue skip saturday or make this a feeding day and water change day. to feed the system, add frozen reef foods then do a full water change. At one gallon, it takes only 5 minutes and is not big work like a large tank. http://www.reefs.org/forums/download/file.php?id=44311 http://www.reefs.org/forums/download/file.php?id=44310
  2. thank you very much for stopping by to watch I use those drums to overlay tracks over mp3's to put me in the mix I never play live so no acoustic ones for me... I rip the guitar every day and use the drums to lay tracks for songs that I build up with the instruments, cover songs...do you play man? I play queensryche, iron maiden, metallica and megadeth The little reefs get water changes weekly and have much live rock and circulation for biological filtration. the weekly water changes really do the trick. for feeding, I swirl in high quality mysis shrimp and let it circulate overnight. next morning I do a water change so there is no waste in the system and every coral and shrimp has been fed. To scrape off coralline I use a bent wire and the miniscraper, you are correct I should scrape it clean I have become lazy recently it has been nice meeting you at your forum. Did you notice the reef in the car? It can be plugged into the cigarette lighter to run the pumps and lights if you need to transport it. I show mine at schools and colleges in my state.
  3. Hello, nice to meet you all. I am using google translator I hope it does not mis-spell! I work with only one gallon reefs and have been doing so for ten years. Some of you may have seen pictures of these reefs already years ago on the internet, these are the first pico reef designs ever posted on the internet or in books. I hope you like them, and I hope you can tell how old they are based on the coralline algae and the life inside I have seen many aquariums on your forum that are beautiful and very well done, I hope to add mine as well thank you Brandon here is the video of the worlds smallest reef aquariums in my house: and here are some pictures. I am sorry I do not know how to attach because I cannot read the language in the directions, moderator feel free to post these in my thread if you don't want me to remote link them. They really help understand the life span of the micro reef aquarium: http://www.reefs.org/forums/download/file.php?id=27380 http://www.reefs.org/forums/download/file.php?id=27374 http://www.reefs.org/forums/download/file.php?id=27391 http://www.reefs.org/forums/download/file.php?id=27392 http://www.reefs.org/forums/download/file.php?id=27379 http://www.reefs.org/forums/download/file.php?id=31928
